Canada takes game #1

Argh. A loss is always disappointing, but this one was particularly so because we played really well in the first half - we were pressuring them the entire half and went into half time 8-0 US. And then things went south. Our spirit seemed to deflate the most when they scored a try with a center crashing up the middle completely untouched. We bounced back with just a couple of minutes to go, but it wasn't enough to take back the lead. Nothing much else to report from today. We had a pool recovery session at a local YMCA and then a video session this afternoon. Oh! I can't forget to mention something very rare in our world right now (and exciting to me because I've been craving junk food): we had cookies (from the Girl Scouts office next door), ice cream and chips tonight!
