Practice makes perfect

Before we left the hotel we had to provide our "baseline" spit samples to Trie. Then we began our long day of practice. Warmup drills first and for the rest of the morning forwards worked on lineouts and backs worked on plays. We had about an hour for lunch in the shade of a nice, big tree next to the field. Afterwards, the backs discussed statistics, worked on decision-making and running lines of offense. The forwards practiced scrumming, more scrumming and a bit more scrumming. We finished with counterattacking and team defense. Everyone was very fired up and playing hard, but maybe we were a little too wired. There's a lot of rugby left ahead of us.

We had a relaxing, early dinner followed by a team meeting. We're having a scrimmage tomorrow, plus there's a rumor of some down time at the Mall of America! =)
