We started out the day with a light warmup and then jumped right into unit work. The forwards ironed out some more things with lineouts and scrums while the backs continued to work on quicker decision-making and running the ball. We broke around 10:30 for "brunch" consisting of bagels and fruit before being joined by various Midwest players that graciously gave their time to provide us outside opposition. First we ran through some controlled set pieces (scrums/lineouts/back plays) and then we scrimmaged for about 45 minutes. It was really good for us (despite the midwest players having the advantage of a few extra players on their side!) and I felt that things were clicking well between all the U.S. players. We still have things to tweak, but we're in good spirits. Afterwards, everyone gathered at Jane T.'s house for a fun, delicious picnic dinner. To end the evening, we ventured out to the Mall of America to catch the movie Invincible at the theater. We thoroughly enjoyed the entertainment!
